Überlagerungen
A multivisual exhibition with digitally created images and films by Almut Siebel and others
As city dwellers in particular, we are used to taking in and processing impressions on several levels at the same time. Our brain manages to weigh and categorize these parallel perceptions in a wonderful way.
What we feel in the process influences how we store a memory. Different impressions are layered on top of each other. Previous images are reinforced, altered or erased.
What influence do we have on these processes? Can we prevent them or use them? What would help us to perceive what we value more consciously? How can we express what we really feel and when are we overwhelmed?
